How successful is IVF with donor eggs?

The topic of donor eggs has popped up in the news once again, with many clinics being reporting incorrect facts on the availability of quality donor eggs in Australia. Previously, the only way to access quality donor eggs was to travel overseas, a costly and largely stressful step in the IVF process and many clinics will still send their patients overseas, which is unnecessary.

Fertility First has a collaborative agreement with prominent international assisted reproduction provider Central IVF to provide donor eggs from overseas donors to our patients without the need to travel overseas. Former Melbourne fertility specialist and founder of Central IVF, Dr Shlomi Barak has recognised the need to be able to provide Australian patients with premium donor egg treatment at an affordable price, without having to travel overseas.

The success rates of our donor egg program are impressive for several reasons. Firstly, world leaders in the field of reproductive medicine from Central IVF and Fertility First will oversee the treatment of the donors and the recipients in our donor egg program so you will receive the highest quality of care from the very beginning of your treatment.

Highly skilled and experienced Embryologists will be responsible for vitrifying (freezing), warming (thawing) and culturing (growing) the donor oocytes to the day of embryo transfer. Since September 2017, 77% of our Central IVF donor egg recipients at Fertility First who met the embryo quality guarantee have achieved a clinical pregnancy.

In addition to being able to access quality donor eggs in Sydney, the service will offer three premium donor egg programs to meet the needs and budget for all our patients. More importantly, we understand that time is of the essence and our patients are eager to start their family, therefore there is also no wait list for our donor egg program.

Central IVF is one the first clinics in Europe to provide mandatory counselling to their donors with an independent Australian psychologist and fertility counsellor who is a member of the Australian and New Zealand Infertility Counsellors Association (ANZICA). Before the oocytes to come to Australia, they are required to meet all Australian regulatory guarantees which would allow all future children conceived from our donor egg program the option to make an identity link in the future.
