EmbryoGen and BlastGen were developed in Adelaide and contains GM-CSF. This protein is upregulated during the embryo’s development and research has shown it has a beneficial effect on cell signalling, cell survival and differentiation, cell-to-cell communication and regulates embryo implantation.
The growth factor GM-CSF helps to improve the communication between the embryo and the uterine lining, making implantation more likely and increasing the chance of a healthy pregnancy. Recent research and New Zealand Clinics have revealed that EmbryoGen and BlastGen may have benefits for older mothers whose embryos are more likely to have genetic abnormalities.
