FAQs about support and resources

What support groups are available for people going through fertility treatment?

We recognise that infertility can be an isolating experience, which is why we've compiled a list of support groups to complement the care we provide.

Depending on your circumstances, you may find community through Rainbow Families, Australian Solo Mothers By Choice, Surrogacy Australia, or the Polycystic Ovary Syndrome Association of Australia (POSAA) for women affected by PCOS. These groups offer peer support from others who understand your journey.

Where can I find reliable information about male fertility and reproductive health?

Healthy Male (healthymale.org.au) is an excellent resource for authoritative information on men's reproductive health. Originally established in 1999 as Andrology Australia with Australian government funding, the website covers a wide range of men's health topics, including erectile dysfunction, cancer, and fertility issues. We encourage patients to explore this resource and bring any questions to their consultations with us.

I have endometriosis – are there resources to help me understand how it affects my fertility?

Endometriosis Australia (endometriosisaustralia.org) is a dedicated organisation that advocates for those living with endometriosis. They provide education for both the public and healthcare professionals, raise awareness, support research and advocacy efforts, and foster community engagement. This can be a valuable resource for understanding your condition, and we're always here to discuss how endometriosis may impact your specific fertility journey during your consultations.
