Fertility First’s donor program assists women who are struggling to fall pregnant with their own eggs, providing donor egg options for women of all ages experiencing infertility.
Fertility First’s Sydney donor program caters to women struggling with infertility, regardless of their age. We hold collaborative agreements with two prestigious international providers: Central IVF (formerly ManorIVF) and Egg Bank Asia. Former Melbourne fertility specialist and founder of Central IVF, Dr Shlomi Barak, recognised the need to provide Australian patients with premium, affordable overseas donor egg treatment, without the need for travel. As the exclusive Australian provider of Egg Bank Asia donor eggs, we further expand these options for our patients seeking Asian donors. Recipients requiring donor eggs will receive the eggs, ready to be injected with sperm either from their partner or a donor during an IVF cycle.
In addition to providing accessible, high-quality donor eggs in Sydney, we offer premium donor egg programs through both providers to accommodate the budget and needs of our patients.
1 in 6 couples have difficulty falling pregnant. Our vision is to transform what we know about our biology and reshape the conversation around infertility.
Central IVF states that the donors being sent to Australia are aged between 21 and 30.
The donors have undergone a comprehensive screening process in accordance with the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority and NHMRC donor guidelines involving:
In addition to providing access to quality donor eggs in Sydney, we offer a variety of donor egg programs to meet the needs and budget for all our patients. All of the donor eggs in each of the programs will be vitrified at Central IVF and transported to Fertility First by Central IVF’s on-board hand carry courier for fertilisation, embryo creation and embryo transfer.
Fertility First is the only fertility clinic in Australia offering patients exclusive access to Egg Bank Asia’s donor egg program. Since 2007, Egg Bank Asia has established itself as a leading provider of Asian donor eggs through their state-of-the-art facilities and comprehensive donor program. Through our partnership, Australian patients can now access high-quality Asian donor eggs with the convenience of local treatment at Fertility First.
The donors sourced from Egg Bank Asia are aged between 21 and 31 and have undergone a comprehensive screening process in accordance with the NHMRC donor guidelines and Australian requirements involving:
We offer two premium donor egg programs to meet the needs and budget for all our patients. All donor eggs are vitrified at Egg Bank Asia and transported to Fertility First using an on-board “white glove” courier service that ensures optimal conditions with no x-ray scanning. A Premium hand carry service is also available for an additional cost.
*Blastocyst guarantee does not apply if cleaved embryos are transferred or frozen.
Patients requiring PGD or those with low sperm count are recommended to consider programs with higher oocyte numbers.
During your initial medical consultation with our fertility specialists, we will conduct a comprehensive assessment of your medical history and arrange necessary screening tests, such as blood tests. Initial tests are important to ensure you're an ideal candidate for our donor egg program.
Once the evaluation of your initial tests is complete, we design a treatment plan for your donor egg program. At this time, Fertility First will provide you (and your partner, if applicable) with consent forms along with a list of available egg donors. This ensures a smooth and supported experience.
Once the donor egg is confirmed, our fertility clinic proceeds with the preparation. This involves the handling and processing required to ensure the donor egg is ready for use in the respective treatment cycle. You'll also have the opportunity to discuss any additional preparations you may need for implantation.
Once all documentation is confirmed, the patient may proceed with treatment. The embryo transfer, akin to a pap smear, involved placing the embryo into the uterus. Fourteen to sixteen days post-transfer, a pregnancy test will be conducted. Specific post-transfer instructions will be provided by the fertility specialists.

An immature egg is an oocyte that has not reached meiotic competency, meaning it hasn’t reached the first stages of meiotic division.
Usually out of the eggs retrieved, we expect approximately 80% to be mature, and of those, between 60 to 80% will fertilise normally. This is perfectly normal.
We just assumed we would fall pregnant immediately and it did not make sense to us that while we were struggling, people around us were falling pregnant everywhere we looked…
Travelling overseas may be put on hold, but you can have your donor eggs transported to Australia without leaving the country.
